FOUNDER STORY

Olivia - Forbes 30 Under 30 2021 / Asia Femtech Influencer of the Year 2023 / Cartier Women's Impact Fellow 2023

In 2016, after over a decade of experiencing negative menstrual symptoms, our founder Olivia began building a community to create a more positive approach to menstruation.

With members across Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore, this community opened Olivia's eyes to the many ways stigma around menstruation negatively impacted her own life, her community and society more broadly.

FOUNDER STORY

In response, she worked to design, develop and launch a for good company that could provide the healthy and sustainable menstrual products missing on the market. In 2019, the first LUÜNA products launched.

However, once the products were launched, Olivia and the team realised that being on the shelves of major retailers was not enough to truly advance gender equity.

As such, since 2020 the focus has been working with large APAC organizations to destigmatize menstruation and advance gender equity through menstrual care amenities + educational programs + community action to support vulnerable individuals too.

Today, Olivia has established herself as a leading menstrual equity educator, and voice on gender equity, having delivered workshops and implemented programs for Fortune 500 companies, schools and universities across the region.

For this work, she has been recognised as Asia's Femtech Influencer of the Year 2023, Cartier Women's Impact Fellow 2023, Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2021, Hong Kong Entrepreneur of the Year 2021, Shanghai Young Business Leader of the Year 2020.

She has spoken at major events including the FORBES SUMMIT ASIA 2023, and been featured on the cover of Tatler Hong Kong, in the South China Morning Post and Vogue for her contribution to the gender equity movement.
