HOW LONG CAN I WEAR IT INSIDE ME FOR?
The cup can be worn inside the body for up to 12 hours.
This is another reason why cups can be more convenient than tampons, which need to be changed every 4 to 8 hours.
HOW LONG DOES THE CUP LAST BEFORE I NEED A NEW ONE?
The cup can last up to 8 years.
The only reason you might want to replace your cup sooner is if you encounter any wear and tear: i.e., if the cup breaks or splits, or you notice a drastic change in the material or coloration of the cup. In order to avoid this, make sure to be gentle when inserting and removing it. When you aren't using it, store it in the pouch provided out of direct sunlight.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS INVOLVED WHEN USING A CUP?
There is a small risk of developing TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) when using the cup. This risk is as low as tampons.
TSS is a rare, serious, and occasionally fatal disease caused by fast-breeding bacteria. TSS can occur in men or women but by using a cup, and leaving it in too long, one can experience a slightly higher risk of contracting TSS.
Symptoms of TSS are similar to the flu and include elevated temperature, dizziness, and vomiting. If you are using a cup and experience ay of these symptoms remove your cup immediately and seek medical attention.
CAN I USE THE CUP IF I'M A VIRGIN?
Using a cup will not affect your virginity. Did you know that many people with vaginas have hymens? If you do, it's quite likely for it to break before experiencing penetrative sex for the first time!
There's a small chance the cup can cause your hymen to stretch - and in some cases, tear - but this does not affect your virginity.
ARE THEY DESIGNED FOR ASIAN WOMEN?
They are designed for anyone with a vagina!

CAN THE CUP GET LOST INSIDE ME?
The cup cannot get lost inside you, there's just nowhere it can go!
It is normal that the cup can move a little further up inside you. If this happens, don't panic, bear down lightly and edge the cup downwards until you can feel the base, before holding the stem and releasing the suction at the base of the cup using your fingers.
CAN I CHANGE MY CUP IN A PUBLIC BATHROOM?
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- remove as normal & tip the blood into the toilet
- If you're cool to do so, just wash the cup in the sink and head back into the cubicle to re-insert
Hints & tips for washing privately
- Carry a reusable water bottle with you when you're out and about so that you can rinse the cup over the toilet
- Grab some hand towel (stronger than toilet roll) and wet it under the sink. You can use this to clean the cup, making sure no paper residue is left.
CAN YOU EXPECT ANY LEAKAGE WHATSOEVER USING A CUP?
Some, but this can be avoided!
Like tampons, there is a small chance you may experience leakage. Our team finds that you're less likely to leak overall though. Make sure when inserting to listen out for the little unfurling "shlooooop" noise- the cup works by creating a small seal inside you.
